Student Learning as a Focus of American Education: What a Concept! -Britannica Blog
In this article (brought to my attention by Joanne Jacobs here, Karin talks about ’sloppy’ education… we have all this data about what our students know and don’t know, and what are we doing to fill those gaps? She shares how every year her Geography scores were far below her scores in all other areas, yet no teacher bothered to explain to her what the equator was so that Geography would be comprehensible to her.
