Day 7 Maui/Day 1 Oahu

We checked out of the hotel and flew from Maui to Oahu on Island Airlines.  We landed around 3:00, and one of our bags did not.  By the time we rented our new van (traded in the first one they tried to give us which seemed to be falling apart at the seams) our bag was there, so we went to pick it up.  The bag was a new one we had to buy at Kmart on the way to the airport to fit all the stuff we had added to our inventory (purchases, snorkel gear, food...)

We headed to our new hotel, which is about a block from Waikiki beach.  Unfortunately, although it is large, it is not nearly as nice as our condo in Maui.  But it is good enough.  We walked down to the beach.  There is a wall creating a calm shallow area along the beach.  The kids swam for a while, and we watched the sun set. 

Then we had dinner and went to bed.
